Senseless Beauty - Surviving

Senseless Beauty just played at the Warehouse this last weekend(5/29/10) and we talked about their new album and I wish I would have had a tape recorder while we were talking because it was golden... but I think I got the next best thing. Shven Biermann (Senseless Beauty's Lead sing) wrote the Bio about their new album that will be released on June 19th... so the songs you can download here are pre-released songs... so you should feel special :)

"The new record "Surviving" is all about overcoming disaster. A month before we sat down to write the album, I had saved up some cash to buy a wedding ring. I was going to propose my girlfriend of two years and I had everything planned out. Three days before I could propose to her, she left me for another man. This was just a few months after making me move three hours away from friends and family to be with her at college. I was friendless and I had no one to turn to during the heartbreak. The woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with had left me for a popular, more attractive man.

It would've been easy to blame God during all of this, but I didn't. God said that he knows the plans he has for me, plans to give me hope and a future. Since I can only understand what my human brain can comprehend, I can't begin to say I know God's heart or methods. I'm not sure what he has in store for me, but I do know that I was never alone. He never left me in my desolation.

So the band decided to write a record to help people. We wanted to bring that hope of Christ to the suffering. They WILL survive. They will be here after the damage. God will never leave them or forsake them. They need to know this.

We wrote this record for the broken. For the kids who get the raw deal. For the unpopular ones and the kids who think they're not good enough, because the truth is that they ARE good enough. They will make it through any and every struggle. God never abandons anyone."

I don't know what else to say about Senseless beauty... except, I can't tell you how much I appreciate a band that is so humble and God fearing... they are far from perfect but they love God, they love the kids who come to their shows and DANG-IT! they play some pretty mean music to boot! I highly suggest that you go see these guys and buy their up coming cd "Surviving" ... I promise that you won't be sorry.

Until next time, keep a rockin'

Jerry Myers of the First Street Warehouse.
